The Whitcon Management Team

Whitcon is a management team with two passionate Directors, Robert Whitworth and Gavin Fraser. This partnership combines Robert’s practical knowledge, attention to detail and construction management skills with Gavin’s skills in cost planning, estimating and design management. They bring over 40 years of building industry expertise to every job they undertake.

 

Robert Whitworth

Robert has spent the majority of his twenty year construction career managing projects within the hospitality industry resulting in extensive knowledge in this area. After completing his trade certificate and advanced building supervision certificate, Robert started his own construction company and concentrated on design, construct and construct-only projects in the hospitality industry (specifically bars, kitchens and bistros), as well as the residential, retail, commercial, and banking industries. Since then, Robert has been completing projects ranging from $50,000 up to and including $1.5 million dollars. He has extensive experience in all areas of building from sales, design and estimating right through to the completion of the construction phase. Robert brings an array of experience and expertise to Whitcon Services and clients will benefit from his strong technical and project management skills.

Gavin Fraser

Gavin has twenty years experience in the construction industry and thirteen of these years spent in the construction industry estimating and cost planning. Gavin’s career has seen him spend time as the National Estimating Manager at Built, Senior Estimator at Paynter Dixon, Estimator at Lend Lease, Estimator at Kell & Rigby, carpenter & joiner with Kell & Rigby, and apprentice carpenter & joiner with W.D. & H.O. Wills.   He has been the estimator and tendered on projects ranging from $10,000 to $45 million dollars and has been involved in the design and construction process on a broad range of projects within various segments of the industry including clubs, bars, commercial, office fit outs, retail, restaurants, banks, religious centres, administration, schools and residential industries. Gavin adds value to Whitcon Services and its clients with his skills in estimating, cost planning, design engineering, and administration.
